Bringing Communities Together: ACR Celebrates Wellingborough's First Festival of Lights

Asian Community Radio (ACR) was delighted to be part of a special milestone for Wellingborough as the town celebrated its first-ever Festival of Lights, bringing communities together in a wonderful celebration of Diwali, culture and community spirit.

Working alongside the Wellingborough DIstrict Hindu Association, ACR had the pleasure of broadcasting live from the event, sharing the atmosphere, stories and celebrations with listeners both locally and further afield.

The festival was a fantastic example of what can be achieved when local organisations, community groups and councils work together with a shared vision.

Through live broadcasting, ACR helped bring the event to life, giving a voice to the people, organisations and communities involved.

We would like to recognise the hard work and commitment of the WDHA, the organisers, local council, volunteers and everyone who contributed to making this inaugural event such a success.

Events like this demonstrate the power of collaboration. When councils, community organisations and residents come together, they can create meaningful experiences that strengthen relationships, encourage inclusion and leave a lasting positive impact.

At Asian Community Radio, we believe that culture connects us, diversity makes us stronger and community collaboration creates opportunities for everyone.

We are proud to have played a part in Wellingborough's first Festival of Lights and look forward to seeing this wonderful celebration grow in the years ahead.
