ACR and the Ladies of Milton Keynes participated in a pilot project named Generational Echos.

It was an incredible day, with women adorned in saris and jewellry that were not ordinary items but carried history and tradition. These pieces had been passed down through generations and each had its own story to tell. There were some tears and laughter, but what was amazing was that all these women had a comon story, keeping history alive though generations no matter what their background.
The ladies enjoyed a special moment having their photos taken with their daughters, who also wore the clothes. In the following months, they were given the opportunity to come into the ACR Studio on air and discuss what these items meant to them.
ACR is proud to bring communites together and keep stories alive through radio inteviews. Thank you to the support for the project by Shazna Muzammil and photo credits by Aaryan Memon

We wish to continue offering projects like this to the community, but we need both financial and volunteer support to do so. If you are able to assist us, please reach out to studio@asiancommunityradio.co.uk
